Real Case

—–2,000 sets of finished floor drains, delivered within 20 days

The client is a mid- to high-end European bathroom brand. They are supplying a complete set of floor drains for a large public housing project in the local area. There are 2,000 custom-made floor drains.

The client’s original local supplier in Eastern Europe was unable to meet the required flatness per the drawings due to technical issues. The client’s samples were made three times in a row, but all failed.

The client has contacted four companies – either the scheduling would take two months, or the equipment accuracy would not meet the requirements.We managed to impress him with just two points:

  • We have exported over 200 batches of similar sink products;
  • We provide samples 24 hours a day – allowing customers to verify our quality with their own eyes.

Phase One: 24 hours, extreme prototyping

After receiving the drawings from the client, the engineering team immediately got to work and accomplished three tasks:

1. Reviewing the drawings revealed

  • The bending radius was too small, which could lead to stress cracks
  • The arrangement of the drawing process was improper, which would damage the crease pattern

An optimized solution was provided immediately and confirmed with the client via video call;

2. After the plan was confirmed, the first sample was cut using the 6-kilowatt laser cutting machine, and then it was leveled with the precision leveling machine. The measured flatness was  0.15 mm  – better than the customer’s requirements.

3. Send all the initial size photos, CMM inspection reports, and assembly demonstration videos to the customer. Also, arrange for the samples to be dispatched.

💡From receiving the drawings to completing the sample, packing it, and sending it out – it was done in less than 24 hours.

Phase Two: Sample Delivery Confirmation + Batch Production Initiation

The first sample arrived four days later. The customer immediately arranged for water flow tests, step fatigue tests, and size rechecks – all passed.

The customer provided feedback on the day of the purchase: “The quality of the samples exceeded our expectations. It was even better than the previous supplier from Europe. The formal order is for 2,000 sets, and I need to receive the goods within 16 days.”

2000 sets of floor drains = 8000 individual components, requiring more than a dozen processes, including laser cutting, stamping, bending, welding, and assembly. Our emergency response mechanism was immediately activated:

Day 6-7 The cover plate has undergone laser cutting, leveling, and edge folding; the filter screen and base have completed stamping, deburring, and welding.
Day 8-9 All metal parts have undergone polishing and entered the factory’s electroplating line. After leaving the line, a 100% appearance inspection is carried out simultaneously.
Day10-11 The four-piece assembly line has been fully activated, completing the assembly of all 2,000 sets + 100% water flow test + inspection of assembly gaps for each set.
Day 12 Packaging, labeling, loading into containers, and shipping to the destination.

On the 18th day, the customer signed for the package, which was 2 days earlier than the promised 20 days.
