A : We mainly use three commercial-grade stainless steels to manufacture your components: 316, 304, and 430. 316 stainless steel is suitable for applications requiring exceptional corrosion resistance, such as in the shipbuilding industry. This material is more expensive than 304 or 430 stainless steel, so it should be specified only for outdoor environments or when higher corrosion resistance than 304 stainless steel is required. 304 stainless steel is a widely used commercial-grade stainless steel. It also has excellent corrosion resistance, though not as good as that of 316 stainless steel. 304 stainless steel is still suitable for many applications and is cheaper than 316 stainless steel. 430 stainless steel is the cheapest grade, with performance similar to 304 stainless steel, but it is attracted to magnets. All three stainless steel grades can be welded and painted. When choosing the stainless steel grade for your components, you need to consider factors such as corrosion resistance and cost comprehensively. For instance, the 316 grade has excellent corrosion resistance and is an ideal choice for marine applications; the 304 grade is a high-quality commercial grade suitable for various uses.
